About the Event
SOUND BATH
What it is: A sound bath is a passive listening experience where you lie down (or sit comfortably) while a practitioner plays instruments like singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and tuning forks. The layered vibrations and tones wash over you — hence “bath” — guiding your brain into a slower, more restful state.
What to expect:
- You’ll settle in on a mat or cushioned surface, often with a blanket and eye pillow
- The room is dim and quiet aside from the instruments
- No participation needed — just lie back, breathe, and let the sound do the work
- Many people drift into a light sleep or deep meditative state; this is normal and encouraged
- You may feel subtle vibrations in the body, especially if bowls are placed nearby
Session length: Typically 45–60 minutes
Who it’s for:
- Anyone feeling overstimulated, anxious, or “wired but tired”
- People new to meditation who find silent stillness difficult
- Those looking to improve sleep quality or wind down after a stressful week
- Great as a solo reset or a shared/group experience
Good to know: No experience or fitness level required. Wear comfortable clothing.
RED LIGHT THERAPY
What it is: A light-based treatment using low-wavelength red (and sometimes near-infrared) light, delivered via a panel or bed. The light penetrates the skin’s surface layers, where it’s absorbed by cells to support the body’s natural repair and energy processes.
What to expect:
- You’ll stand, sit, or lie near/under a light panel for the session
- The treatment is non-invasive — no heat discomfort, no downtime
- Light exposure is gentle; eye protection may be offered depending on the setup
- Many people use it post-workout or as a standalone recovery session
- Some describe a mild warming sensation, but no pain or irritation
Session length: Typically 10–20 minutes
Who it’s for:
- Athletes or active individuals managing muscle soreness or recovery
- Anyone interested in supporting skin appearance and tone
- People looking for a low-effort addition to a relaxation or recovery routine
- Often paired with other treatments (massage, sauna, cold plunge) as part of a recovery stack
Good to know: Sessions can typically be done regularly (e.g., a few times per week) as part of an ongoing routine, though frequency should follow the provider’s specific protocol.
