Netra Basti, derived from “netra” (eyes) and “basti” (retention), is a nourishing Ayurvedic therapy where warm medicated ghee is held around the eyes within a specially prepared dough well. This allows the therapeutic ghee to bathe the eyes, providing deep nourishment to the optic nerves, eye muscles, and surrounding tissues while relieving strain and dryness.
At Sukara Yoga in Phuket, our 45-minute Netra Basti session uses pure, medicated ghee selected to address concerns like digital eye strain, dryness, or general vision fatigue. This gentle yet powerful therapy is especially beneficial for those spending long hours on screens or experiencing chronic eye discomfort.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The practitioner explains every step and checks temperature and comfort. The guest keeps the eyes closed unless instructed otherwise by a qualified practitioner.
