A Vision Inspired by Wellness
Every meaningful wellness space begins with a dream.
For Khun Boom, that dream was never simply to open another yoga studio. She envisioned creating a sanctuary where people from different countries, cultures, and walks of life could reconnect with themselves through authentic yoga, mindful living, and holistic wellness.
As the Co-Founder of Sukara Yoga & Wellness, Khun Boom has played a vital role in shaping the philosophy, atmosphere, and guest experience that define Sukara today. Every detail—from the welcoming environment and wellness programs to community events and retreats—reflects her belief that true wellbeing is created through kindness, consistency, and meaningful human connection.
Her vision continues to inspire Sukara as more than a destination for yoga. It is a place where people come to slow down, heal, learn, and begin a healthier way of living.
Rooted in Traditional Ashtanga Yoga
Khun Boom’s personal yoga journey has been built through years of dedicated practice and unwavering discipline.
An advanced Ashtanga Yoga practitioner, she travelled to Mysore, India, the birthplace of modern Ashtanga Yoga, where she had the privilege of practising under the guidance of Paramaguru Sharath Jois. This experience deepened not only her physical practice but also her understanding of yoga as a lifelong path of self-discovery.
The traditional Mysore method taught her that yoga is not measured by difficult postures or external achievements. Instead, it is cultivated through patience, humility, breath, consistency, and daily practice.
These values continue to influence the culture of Sukara Yoga & Wellness, where every guest—whether a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner—is welcomed with the same respect, encouragement, and personal attention.
The Story Behind Sukara
The name Sukara represents the life that Khun Boom hopes every guest can experience—a life of balance, vitality, inner peace, and genuine wellbeing.
Inspired by the ancient wisdom of yoga and the warmth of Thai hospitality, she envisioned a wellness destination where traditional Indian healing practices could naturally blend with modern lifestyles.
Today, Sukara Yoga & Wellness brings together yoga, Pranayama, meditation, Ayurveda, Panchakarma, sound healing, retreats, mindful movement, and community experiences into one integrated wellness journey.
For Khun Boom, wellness is not something reserved for holidays or special occasions. It is something that can be practised every day through small, conscious choices that nurture both body and mind.
Building a Community Through Wellness
Beyond the yoga mat, Khun Boom is passionate about creating meaningful experiences that bring people together.
She actively leads the planning and organisation of wellness events, community gatherings, charity initiatives, running activities, and collaborative programs designed to encourage healthier lifestyles and stronger human connections.
Her belief is simple:
When people feel healthier within themselves, they naturally create healthier families, stronger communities, and a kinder world.
This philosophy has become one of the guiding principles behind Sukara Yoga & Wellness.
A Bridge Between Thailand and India
One of Khun Boom’s greatest contributions to Sukara is her ability to beautifully connect two rich wellness traditions.
By combining the timeless teachings of Indian yoga with the warmth, hospitality, and caring spirit of Thai culture, she has helped create an environment where guests from around the world immediately feel welcome.
This harmony between tradition and modern hospitality has become one of Sukara’s defining characteristics.
Her Philosophy
Khun Boom believes that wellness should never feel intimidating.
You do not need to be flexible.
You do not need previous yoga experience.
You do not need to change who you are before you begin.
You simply need to take the first step.
Whether someone joins a yoga class, receives an Ayurvedic therapy, experiences sound healing, or participates in a wellness retreat, her hope is that every guest leaves Sukara feeling calmer, stronger, and more connected to themselves than when they arrived.
A Message from Khun Boom
“Sukara was created from a simple belief—that everyone deserves a place where they can pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves.
Whether you come for one yoga class, a healing therapy, or a complete wellness retreat, I hope you leave carrying something more valuable than a memory. I hope you leave with a healthier body, a calmer mind, and the confidence to continue your wellness journey long after you return home.
Our doors are always open, and we look forward to welcoming you to our Sukara family.”
